31 March 2023 - Rain (and Wind) Stops Play

We had intended to go and have a look around Rye today but the wind which seems to have been an almost constant feature of this trip ratcheted itself up several notches overnight and, together with persistent downpours, wasn't forecast to let up all day.  This was the view out of our bedroom window this morning so it was a very easy decision to stay here at Romney Meadows for another 24 hours.

I popped up to the office to pay up and emptied the loo cassette but apart from that I've only ventured out of the van to rescue the external thermal screen which was threatening to detatch itself and make a break for it across the fields.  Lisa hasn't even made it out of the door.

Instead we've had a day of netflix and cards and made an early raid on the beer locker.  Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
